We are here to help. Unless noted, services are provided free of charge. FINDING JOB CANDIDATES . Assistance with posting jobs in CalJOBS - California's largest job data base . Assistance with screening and identifying qualified job candidates . Job recruitments for your company . Provide a table at our annual County-Wide Career Fair (for a small fee) LABOR MARKET INFORMATION . Through CalJOBS, we can provide employers with labor/job market information - including common wages for a specific job title, number of qualified candidates locally available for specific jobs, etc. . Staff can provide data on local industry growth, unemployment rates and more STAFF TRAINING . Customer service training . Computer skills training including keyboarding and basic computer training; workshops in Microsoft Office software . Customized training as needed WORKSHOPS FOR MANAGERS . The "Better Staffing Now" series provides workshops in: Recruiting the Best Interviewing and Hiring the Best, and Retaining the Best . Tax Credits for Employers SUBSIDIZED WAGE PROGRAMS . Work Experience Placements - a fully paid job trainee is placed with your business for up to six months to learn new job skills . On-the-Job Training - a cost-effective way to train new employees, with wage reimbursements for new qualifying hires during a normal job training period LAYOFF AVERSION AND EVENT ASSISTANCE . "Deep-Dive" business health assessments can be provided to help identify problems or issues to help avoid layoffs and/or sustain and grow your business . Referrals to business counselors and experts . Rapid Response events that provide information on services available to employees in case of a layoff or business closure. Assistance can help these employees cope with losing employment and help them get back to work
